UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Megalithic Temples

The Megalithic Temples of Malta, including Ħaġar Qim, Mnajdra, and Tarxien, are among the world’s oldest freestanding structures, dating back to 3600-2500 BC. Windmills
Malta’s windmills, primarily found on the island of Gozo, are charming relics of the past, reflecting the island’s agricultural heritage. Constructed during the Knights of St. John’s rule, these windmills were essential for grinding grain into flour. The most notable include the Xewkija Windmill in Gozo, which has been restored and offers panoramic views from its vantage point, and the several traditional windmills scattered across the countryside, like those in the village of Għarb. Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum

Casa Bernard
