When to Visit

Below gives you information and a rating of the best time of year to visit.

January

January is one of the most comfortable times to be in Dubai, with peak daytime temperatures around 23°C. It’s perfect for exploring open-air attractions like the Dubai Miracle Garden, wandering Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, or enjoying beach clubs without the need for constant shade.

February

February sees similar pleasant weather, and the city comes alive with events like the Dubai Food Festival. It’s a brilliant month for dining outdoors, desert safaris under crisp skies, and enjoying the laid-back luxury of beachfront hotels.

March

As March arrives, temperatures creep into the high 20s. The beaches stay bustling, and this is prime time for boat tours around the Palm Jumeirah or dhow cruises along Dubai Creek. Evenings remain ideal for rooftop dining and fountain shows at the Burj Khalifa.

April

By April, the warmth begins to intensify, often hitting 32°C during the day. While still manageable, midday sightseeing calls for breaks indoors - consider visiting Dubai Mall’s immersive attractions or enjoying the cool serenity of Jameel Arts Centre.

May

May leans into the heat, but early mornings and evenings are still comfortable for beach strolls or desert hot air balloon rides. Many visitors opt for spa days, pool lounging, or indoor theme parks like IMG Worlds of Adventure.

June

June introduces the peak summer season. Daytime highs frequently surpass 40°C, and humidity climbs. This is when Dubai’s indoor wonders shine - from shopping sprees and aquarium visits to skiing at Ski Dubai and cultural experiences at Museum of the Future.

July

July is hot and humid, with temperatures soaring well above 40°C. Fortunately, the city is built for it. Hotels offer deep discounts, and indoor attractions - from ice rinks to escape rooms - become the focus. Evenings bring a slightly cooler breeze, inviting night-time waterfront walks at Dubai Marina.

August

August follows suit with intense heat and high humidity, though resort pools, shaded cabanas, and luxury spas offer refuge. It’s also a good time to explore lesser-known museums or take a sunset helicopter ride, timed for cooler air and stunning light.

September

September brings only a subtle dip in temperature, but it marks the beginning of the seasonal shift. As the evenings get breezier, outdoor spaces like La Mer or Bluewaters Island begin to welcome more activity.

October

In October, the heat eases significantly, with daytime highs around 35°C. Outdoor brunches return, and cultural festivals start populating the calendar. It’s an ideal month to combine beach time with sightseeing - perhaps with a visit to the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve.

November

November is one of Dubai’s most inviting months, with temperatures hovering around 30°C. It’s great for day trips to the Hatta Mountains, long lunches overlooking the sea, or kayaking around the Palm. The city buzzes with events, markets, and performances.

December

December brings sunshine, cooler breezes, and a festive atmosphere. Temperatures hover in the mid-20s. Whether you’re browsing winter markets, enjoying beachfront fireworks, or catching international shows, Dubai shines as an outdoor city once again.
