January

January brings mild temperatures, with daytime highs averaging around 22°C. This is one of the best months to explore the emirate’s outdoor offerings, including the Jebel Jais mountain and its hiking trails. It’s also perfect for a relaxing time on the beach, as the temperatures are pleasant but not too hot.

February

As February continues, temperatures remain comfortable, hovering around 23-27°C. It’s a great time to visit the Al Hamra Golf Club for a round of golf or to indulge in the luxurious spas at beach resorts. The cooler weather also makes it ideal for a desert safari to discover the dunes and wildlife.

March

March sees a slight rise in temperatures to 25-30°C during the day. This is when outdoor festivals and events start to heat up, including RAK Food Festival, which showcases the rich culinary traditions of the region. The weather is perfect for enjoying Ras Al Khaimah’s beaches, with waters around 22°C for swimming and water sports.

April

April brings a warm but comfortable 28°C or average - but highs can reach the mid 30's. The region’s natural beauty is in full display, with blooming flowers in the desert and lush resorts offering a great escape. At this time of year, it’s also a good opportunity to visit Wadi Shawka for hiking or to explore the Jebel Jais via the famous Jebel Jais Flight, the world’s longest zipline.

May

By May, the heat begins to rise, with temperatures reaching around 40°C during the day. While the weather gets warmer, Ras Al Khaimah still offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventure, especially in the mornings and evenings. Visitors can enjoy kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding in the calm waters of the Arabian Gulf, with the early mornings providing the most comfortable conditions.

June

June sees temperatures climbing into the low-40°Cs, and it becomes a great time to take advantage of air-conditioned indoor activities. It’s an ideal time to enjoy the shopping malls, dine at top-tier restaurants, or take a day trip to nearby attractions. Water-based activities like jet-skiing or wind surfing are also popular, but be prepared for the heat if you’re outdoors.

July

October

October marks the return of cooler weather with daytime temperatures averaging around the mid-30°s. The days are long, and evenings become more pleasant, making it ideal for outdoor activities like cycling through the mountains or a visit to the Ras Al Khaimah National Museum to learn about the emirate’s fascinating heritage.

November

November continues the trend of cooler, more comfortable weather with highs around 30°C or so. This is an excellent time to visit Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island for some relaxing time on the beach or indulge in a range of activities, from kite surfing to exploring the ancient Dhayah Fort.

December

December is another lovely month to visit, with temperatures around 24-27°C during the day. With the festive season approaching, Ras Al Khaimah’s resorts host a variety of events, from Christmas markets to New Year’s Eve celebrations. It’s an excellent time for a relaxing getaway, combining both luxurious resort experiences and outdoor exploration, such as a visit to the Al Hajar Mountains or a leisurely day on the beach.
