January

January brings some of the most pleasant weather of the year. Mild days and cool evenings make it ideal for exploring the Hajar Mountains or visiting Fujairah Fort, one of the oldest in the country. The sea is a little brisk, but still swimmable for many.

February

In February, the weather remains comfortably warm, perfect for hikes through Wadi Wurayah or coastal walks near Al Aqah. The month has a calm, relaxed feel - ideal for those looking to experience the UAE at a slower pace.

March

March sees temperatures warming up, with peaks often reaching the high 20s. This is a great time for snorkelling or diving trips, especially around Snoopy Island, where marine life is rich and water visibility is excellent.

April

April offers a sweet spot for both sun and sea. With sea temperatures climbing, water activities are in full swing. The mountainous backdrop is particularly striking under spring light - perfect for scenic drives or a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque of Fujairah.

May

May becomes noticeably hotter, with daytime temperatures often climbing to around 37-39°C. Mornings and evenings remain manageable, so beach time and shaded resort lounging are still very much on the cards. It’s also a good time to visit Friday Market in nearby Masafi.

June

June ushers in the full heat of summer, best enjoyed from the cool of luxury resorts. While hiking takes a back seat, diving remains a draw, as the sea is warm and conditions remain calm for boat trips.

July

In July, expect daytime highs to continue to soar well above the high 30s The mountain air tends to be slightly less humid than in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, but this is still the season for spa days, shaded pool lounging, and air-conditioned comfort. Many hotels run off-season deals.

August

August is similarly hot, but those staying in coastal resorts like those near Dibba or Al Aqah often enjoy a refreshing sea breeze. Evening strolls by the water and sunset dhow rides offer a peaceful way to enjoy the emirate.

September

By September, the heat begins to ease a little. The sea is particularly warm - ideal for late-summer snorkelling. It’s a good month to return to some outdoor sightseeing, perhaps stopping at the Al Badiyah Mosque, the oldest in the UAE.

October

October brings more bearable daytime conditions - often peaking around 35°C - and sees the return of more active outdoor pursuits. Water sports pick up, and there’s a buzz in the resorts as staycations and visitors increase.

November

November is a great time to visit. Temperatures sit around 30°C, and it’s prime season for diving, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Clear skies and light winds make for excellent visibility underwater, especially around the reefs off Sambraid Beach.

December

December sees the weather settle into warm, sunny days and cool nights - perfect for exploring both the mountains and the coast. Cultural events often pop up in and around Fujairah city, and the weather encourages relaxed afternoons by the beach or pool.
