Early mornings are ideal for hiking and exploring lush hills, while evenings come alive with seaside dining and island markets.

February

Similar warmth continues, 27–29°C, with clear skies and calm seas. It’s an excellent time for yachting between the islands, visiting the Baths on Virgin Gorda, or spotting tropical fish and rays while snorkelling. Local music and food festivals begin appearing in small settlements.

March

High season continues, with slightly warmer temperatures, highs around 28–30°C. The sea remains ideal for water sports, and sailing regattas may be underway. Coastal trails and viewpoints offer panoramic island vistas, and beach bars and cafés provide lively spots for lunch or sunset drinks.

April

Warm and settled, 28–30°C, with lower humidity compared to later in the year. It’s a strong month for exploring quieter beaches, hidden coves, and snorkelling or diving spots. Inland walks reveal native flora and small wildlife, while evenings are perfect for seafood dinners overlooking the harbour.

May

Temperatures remain comfortable, 28–30°C, but rainfall begins to increase slightly. Islands are less crowded, making it ideal for more relaxed sailing and swimming. Nature trails and wildlife observation are particularly enjoyable, while local markets and festivals showcase crafts, cuisine, and culture.

June

Early summer brings highs of 29–31°C and higher humidity. Short tropical showers are common but brief, quickly refreshing the landscape. It’s a good month for diving, paddleboarding, and visiting the quieter northern cays. Evenings are pleasant for coastal dining or attending local music events.

July

Warm and humid, highs of 30–32°C, with occasional afternoon showers. Trade winds provide relief, particularly on beaches and during sailing excursions. Summer festivals and local gatherings add cultural interest, while early mornings and late afternoons are best for active exploration or hiking.

August

Similar conditions to July, 30–32°C, with higher rainfall and the potential for brief tropical storms. Despite this, clear mornings provide excellent conditions for watersports, island hopping, and wildlife spotting. Resort pools, shaded beaches, and sheltered coves offer comfortable options during heavier showers.
