January

Dry season conditions bring warm, sunny days around 28–30°C with low humidity and calm seas. It’s an excellent time for beach days, snorkelling, and kayaking along the island’s quiet coastline. Waterfalls still hold some flow from the rainy season, and evenings are comfortably warm.

February

Weather remains reliably dry and sunny, with temperatures around 28–31°C. Clear waters make snorkelling particularly rewarding, and boat trips to nearby islands are common. The island is relaxed and scenic, with long stretches of beach ideal for walking at sunrise or sunset.

March

Temperatures gradually rise to around 30–32°C. Conditions remain dry with gentle sea breezes providing relief from the heat. Early mornings are ideal for exploring forest trails and visiting waterfalls such as Khlong Chao before the midday warmth builds.

April

One of the hottest months, often reaching 32–34°C. Sunshine dominates, and the sea remains calm and inviting for swimming. Shaded jungle walks and cooling dips beneath waterfalls offer a refreshing contrast to the strong tropical sun.

May

The transition toward the rainy season begins, bringing increasing humidity and occasional afternoon showers. Temperatures remain warm around 30–32°C. Rain often falls briefly before clearing, leaving the island lush and green with quieter beaches.

June

Rainfall becomes more frequent, though sunny intervals are still common. Temperatures hover around 29–31°C. Waterfalls swell with rainwater, making inland excursions rewarding, while beach visits are best planned around passing showers.

July

Warm and humid with regular tropical showers. Seas can become choppier at times, but calm periods still allow for swimming and coastal exploration. The island feels particularly tranquil, with fewer visitors and vibrant greenery throughout the rainforest.

August

Rain continues intermittently, typically arriving in short but heavy bursts. Temperatures stay around 29–31°C. Jungle vegetation is at its most vibrant, and waterfalls are especially impressive following rainfall.

September

Often the wettest month of the year. Rain can be heavier and seas rougher, though clear periods still occur between showers. The island remains beautifully green, and inland scenery is dramatic with full rivers and cascading falls.

October

Rain gradually begins to ease as the season transitions. Temperatures remain warm around 29–31°C, and sunny intervals become more frequent. Waterfalls continue flowing strongly, making it a rewarding time for nature walks and scenic viewpoints.

Dry season conditions begin returning. Rainfall decreases noticeably, skies clear, and the sea becomes calmer. Temperatures settle around 28–30°C, creating excellent conditions for beach relaxation, snorkelling, and island boat trips.

December

Warm, sunny and dry, typically 27–30°C. Calm seas and clear skies make this one of the most pleasant times to visit. Beaches are at their most inviting, and festive season travellers bring a lively but still relaxed atmosphere to the island’s resorts and waterfront restaurants.
