February brings similar mild weather, making it ideal for outdoor activities like trekking in the mountains or visiting the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet.

By March, the temperatures begin to rise, often reaching 30°C. It’s a lovely time to visit the Chiang Rai Flower Festival, where the city bursts with colour and fragrance.

April

April can be hot, with temperatures climbing to 35°C. The Songkran Festival brings water fights and cultural celebrations, making it a lively and fun month to experience.

May

May sees the start of the rainy season, with brief but refreshing afternoon showers. The rains rejuvenate the landscapes, making this a good time to explore the lush Mae Fah Luang Garden.

June

December
