Las Vegas is the ultimate destination to experience one of their infamous pool parties. There are, however, more hotels around the world taking the plunge and hosting their take on the “pool party” including destinations like Thailand, Dubai and of course Marbella. With year-round sun coupled with a sophisticated social scene, Dubai has a host of parties for any discerning Instagrammer with both FIVE Palm Jumeirah and Nikki Beach being up there with the best of them.
Street parties are a great way to engage with the locals and enjoy some of their age-old traditions. With so many unique street parties to choose from, we’ve selected three of our favourites for you experience for yourself.
First up is King’s Day in Amsterdam taking place on the 27th April 2020, where DJ’s perform in squares, partygoers aboard hundreds of boats and all amongst a sea of orange.
Next up is St Anthony’s day in Lisbon which over the two days (12th & 13th June) involves a mass wedding in the cathedral, a large parade where each district competes and numerous street parties throughout the city. Over the two days the city is buzzing and it’s a great way to experience all its flavours, although in places it can be very crowded.
Lastly we head to New Orleans because the spectacular Mardi Gras falls on 25th February 2020. It’s the last day of the carnival season and is one huge street party with elaborate floats, numerous Mardi Gras traditions and plenty of fancy dress.
Who doesn’t love a beach party? Whether it’s sipping on sundowners listening to chilled out beats or a full-on beach party running into the early hours of the morning – there’s a beach party out there for you.
