Short Breaks to Jersey
What makes a short break to Jersey so special? Well, with locally produced food to savour, wide open spaces to explore and a rich heritage to appreciate, whatever makes you tick, you will undoubtedly discover lots of reasons to fall in love with the island.
Let us inspire you…

Beaches
With 43.5 miles of coastline around the island of Jersey, there is always a beach that will be perfect for the activities you have in mind.
We recommend spending the day on Portelet Bay or St Brelade’s Bay on the southwest of the island and St Ouen’s Bay on the west coast.

Active
Jersey’s landscape changes dramatically so it’s full of surprises. The best walks around the island can be had by way of a rugged ramble along the cliff paths, a wildlife-rich woodland jaunt, a sunset stroll along the beach or simply a leisurely promenade saunter.
Besides exploring Jersey on foot, we suggest hiring a bike for the day – or if getting in the water is more your thing, there are plenty of hidden bays to see by kayak.

Food & Drink
Jersey have a great deal of pride in their fresh and local produce. If you love oysters and lobster, you’re in for a real treat. Likewise, the island’s famed dairy products are to die for! You can’t take a short break to Jersey without heading to a country hotel for afternoon tea. Anyone for buttery scones and lashings of clotted cream?…

History & Heritage
There’s so much to Jersey’s colourful history and many places you can visit to learn more about the island’s heritage.
We suggest spending time at the Jersey Museum & Art Gallery, the Maritime Museum and the War Tunnels. The traditional farmstead of Hamptonne Country Life Museum in St Lawrence is great for showcasing rural life that dates back to the 15th century.
When to visit…

- While the winter months are wet, they are reasonably mild. If you can tolerate the rain, you can visit at a great price and have the island to yourself!
