The largest of the Channel Islands is only 9 by 5 miles in size but packs in a diversity of landscapes and attractions perfect for families and couples alike. There is also a rich collection of attractions from WWII allowing you to really experience Jersey’s history, like the Jersey War Tunnels, built during the German occupation. Stepping further back in time visit medieval Mont Orguiel Castle with its stunning coastal location overlooking a fishing village, and the Elizabeth Castle, built a mile out to sea. On breaks to Jersey for families, plan in a day at Les Mielles Funzone where there is laser shooting, mini golf, a jump zone and inflatable slide among other crazy activities.

January

In January, Jersey experiences cool, windy days with temperatures around 5°C to 10°C. It’s a quiet time on the island, perfect for coastal walks along rugged cliffs and enjoying peaceful seaside villages.

February

February continues with mild winter weather, making it ideal for indoor activities like exploring historic castles or visiting the island’s museums. Although the island is quieter, it offers a serene, off-season experience.

March

By March, temperatures begin to rise slightly, reaching around 10°C or so. Spring blooms make the countryside come alive, making it a lovely time to explore the island’s gardens and scenic trails.

April

April brings more sunshine, with temperatures warming up to around 12°C to 15°C. It’s a great month for coastal walks along beaches like St. Brelade's Bay or exploring the charming capital of St. Helier.

May

In May, Jersey enjoys warmer, pleasant weather, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities. With temperatures hovering around 15°C and above on most days, it’s perfect for visiting historical landmarks like Mont Orgueil Castle or taking a cycling tour of the island.

June

June marks the start of summer, with temperatures rising to around 18°C to 22°C. The beaches become popular spots, and it’s a wonderful time to explore Jersey’s coastline, coves, and nature reserves.

July

July brings warm weather, with temperatures reaching around 22°C to 25°C. It’s the peak of beach season, and Jersey’s coastal areas are bustling with swimmers, surfers, and sun-seekers enjoying the island’s natural beauty.

August

August continues the summer warmth, with the island in full bloom. The pleasant weather is perfect for exploring Jersey’s coastal paths or enjoying al fresco dining in quaint seaside towns.

September

September sees temperatures cooling slightly, dropping to around 18°C. It’s still a great time for outdoor activities, with fewer crowds, making it ideal for walking, cycling, and visiting the island’s beaches.

October

In October, autumn arrives, with temperatures cooling to around 15°C or lower. The island's landscapes turn golden, making it a picturesque time to explore nature and the scenic coastline before the winter sets in.

November

November brings cooler weather, with temperatures around 8°C to 12°C. It’s a quieter time, but an okay season for visiting Jersey’s historic sites and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the island’s villages.

December

December on Jersey is festive, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 10°C. The island’s towns light up with holiday decorations, and it’s a wonderful time for winter walks along the coast, followed by warm, comforting meals in local restaurants.
